Colorectal Cancer Awareness

March - Colon CancerMarch 2017 is Colorectal Cancer Awareness month at the Operators’ Health Center (OHC).

Colorectal cancer is one of the most dangerous forms of the deadly disease—in the United States, it’s responsible for the second most cancer deaths. As with most forms of cancer, though, the key to surviving and beating colorectal cancer is to catch the disease early.

That can be accomplished by being knowledgeable about the disease and having a solid understanding of its signs and symptoms. Although experiencing just one of the symptoms associated with colorectal cancer can be common, prolonged and/or intense activity associated with several of these symptoms can be a sign that you should see a doctor as soon as possible…

6 Early Warning Signs of Colorectal Cancer

  1. Blood in stool
  2. Inconsistent bowel movements
  3. Sudden anemia
  4. Abdominal pain
  5. Sudden weight loss
  6. Vomiting

Early detection of colorectal cancer is key to managing the disease. Give the OHC a call at 708-485-2273 OR click here to register on the OHC patient portal and schedule your appointment with just a few clicks of your mouse.  A member of our friendly staff looks forward to meeting you.
