Newly Eligible Members – 2017/2018 Plan Year

The following information is only applicable to hourly members establishing eligibility in the Marketplace beginning April 1, 2017 through March 31, 2018.

Once you work 300 hours in a rolling consecutive 12-month period, you will be eligible to participate in the MOE Health Plan Marketplace. At that time you will receive important information from the Fund Office on how to join the Marketplace.  Please note that while you are working to establish eligibility it is extremely important to click here and familiarize yourself with My150, register, and update your profile including adding your dependents.

During your designated Administrative Period, you will be required to enroll in one of the health plans available in the Marketplace.

For example, suppose you work your 300th hour in June, the Fund Office receives the 300 hours in July. Your Administration Period is the month of August whereby you must enroll and select a health plan. On September 1, your coverage in the Marketplace would commence.

Please note: If you fail to enroll and select a health plan during your designated Administrative Period, you will default into the highest credit cost plan based on your appropriate tier of coverage. Therefore, it is important for you to read this information in its entirety so that you can make an informed decision and to choose the best health plan that best fits your family’s needs!

Newly Eligible Members* be on the lookout for the following information regarding Open Enrollment to the MOE Health Plan Marketplace:

*This information does not apply to eligible hourly members before April 1, 2017.  If you fall into this category, you should already be enrolled in the MOE Health Plan Marketplace.

Even though you have enrolled into the Marketplace during the 2017/2018 Plan Year you will still be required to participate in the Open Enrollment process for the 2018/2019 Plan Year.  Open Enrollment is a annual process which allows you the opportunity to review your health plan options to ensure that you select the best plan that is affordable and meets your family’s needs.
