Open Enrollment 2021

January 18, 2021 – February 28, 2021

PLEASE NOTE:  If you need an in-person appointment for assistance with enrolling into a health plan option, you must register for one of the Open Enrollment events (click on the sidebar to register for one of the events).  For the safety of our members and the Fund Office staff, we will not be accepting in-person appointments at the Fund Office for open enrollment.  The only appointments that can be scheduled at the Fund Office, are for members that are retiring and need assistance with completing their retirement application packet – An appointment with a Representative from the Retirement Services Group is mandatory – NO WALK-INS WILL BE ALLOWED.  Thank you for your continued patience during the pandemic.

Open Enrollment is the time for you to review and select a health plan option that best fits your family’s needs.  Open Enrollment will end on February 28th.  The plan that you select will be for coverage beginning April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022.  If you do not actively select a health plan option (i.e. either select Change Plan or Keep Current Plan), then you will default into the same health plan option and coverage tier that you had for the 2020/2021 Plan Year…this may not be the best decision for you.

If you need assistance in selecting your health plan option, you have the following resources available:

  • Contact the MOE Health Plan Marketplace Call Center.  a licensed BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois navigator can assist you with answering specific health plan questions and/or transferring credits, if you are eligible to do so.  Call (844) 693-1467 toll-free during open enrollment:
    • Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. CST
    • Saturday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. CST
  • Contact the Fund Office Marketplace Call Center, (708) 579-6675, to receive assistance with a Fund Office navigator
    • Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CST – Extended hours during Open Enrollment
    • Saturday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. CST
  • If you have specific questions pertaining to the OHC Plan, contact a specialized OHC Plan Member Services Representative at (708) 579-6668.
    • The OHC Plan has expanded access for care by partnering with the Community Hospital system and Methodist Hospital system, in addition to the current OHC providers and Advocate Health Care system.  During the open enrollment period ONLY, to review if your providers are in-network,  visit https://moefunds-oe.hstechnology.com//.  The provider locator will be available at the onset of open enrollment, January 18th.
  • Open Enrollment packets will soon be mailed.  Click the appropriate sidebar to access your “OE Packet” for more information. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THROUGH THE INFORMATION AND SHARE WITH YOUR SPOUSE.
  • Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the Benefit Seminars were cancelled.  However, you should have received a comprehensive Benefit Seminar mailer which contained important information regarding all of your fringe benefits.
  • If you are an hourly member of the Marketplace, review the health plan options comparison chart (seven plans to choose from)
  • If you are a 3-tier (Member, Member+1, Family) Municipality member, review the health plan options comparison chart (two plans to choose from)
  • If you are an Owner Operator/Relative Shareholder, review the health plan options comparison chart (seven plans to choose from)
  • Hourly members of the Marketplace that are age 55 or will turn age 55 by March 31, 2022, you should have received your Age 55 Transfer Letter.  This letter will review the pros and cons of transferring credits from your Credit Bank to your Retiree Medical Savings Plan (RMSP) account
  • If you have not registered on My150, www.My150.com, please do so ASAP.  Through My150, you will be able to select your health plan option during open enrollment (January 18, 2020 1 February 28, 2021).
    • If you are registered on My150 but you have not visited the site recently, you may have to reset your password
    • Once you are registered on My150, you should take the time to:
      • Review your contact information (address, phone number, etc.) under your My Profile
      • Review your current Family Members.  If there are eligible dependents that are not listed, now is the time to start gathering all of the Required Documents
      • Update your My Beneficiaries on My150.  You can access this page under the Quick Links tile from the Home Page.  Start reviewing and gathering this information, if necessary
